Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager for their custom Medical Molding Division.

Your Unique Role

Under the general supervision of the Director of Business Development , the Business Development
Manager (BDM)will be responsible for providing leadership in the planning, design and implementation of customers’ specific business plans and will provide vision, penetration strategies and tactics to executive managers in order to develop and drive external and internal senior level relationships. The BDM is also responsible for analyzing and understanding customers’ business strategies, future product plans, expansion activities and align MRPC resources where mutually beneficial and will cultivate and capture new business.

  • Establish territory sales forecast goals and monitor sales volume to forecast.
  • Maintain and sustain business relationships, close deals and drive high levels of customer
  • Work to operational objectives for the Business Development function.
  • Maintain communication with customer in assigned territory via travel, phone, fax and mail.
  • Solicits and maintains contact with current and prospect key accounts.
  • Work closely with the team to manage each account for maximum profit and revenue growth and develop and communicate metrics for same to all levels of internal and external management.
  • Drive customer engagement opportunities through proposals, presentations, and company tours.
  • Work on issues related to planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining cost methods and employees.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure budgets, schedules and performance criteria are met.
  • Solicit request for quotes, ensure completeness of those requests, submit proposals to customers and follow-up on proposals.
  • Perform contract review upon receipt of new purchase orders and ensure any questions are resolved.
  • Represent customer to company departments such as customer service, quality assurance, engineering, etc.
  • Participate in planning overall company marketing efforts.
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibits, and conferences as assigned by the Director of Business Development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Required 2-4 years of selling experiences, preferably in O.E.M sales
  • College degree in business, engineering, or chemistry is desirable
  • Aggressive, inquisitive, excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker, good time management skills, computer literate
  • Must be capable of interfacing with engineering, AWQ and manufacturing personnel
  • Overnight domestic travel required
