Your Unique Role

As a Color Specialist within the Plastics Laboratory, you will be responsible for color matching in a host of polymer systems relevant to the industries services by the plastic laboratory.

You will support the Research & Development team in various ways, including, but not limited to:

  • Independently perform color matching and all necessary sample preparation in a host of Polymer systems.
  • Running Injection molding equipment, two roll mills and extruders
  • Experience color matching with multi-layer extrusion blow molding helpful
  • In-depth knowledge of various pigments, dyes and additives.
  • Understanding of spectrophotometers as it relates to color matching and color correction
  • Familiar with Oracle operating systems
  • Prepare sample documentation for shipping, including labels, regulatory and cover letters

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • College, High school diploma
  • 3-5 years’ relevant color matching experience
  • Capable of performing duties with minimal supervisory assistance
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Experience with polymer processing equipment (injection molder, extruder, two roll mill, etc.)
  • Experience with testing equipment (visible spectrophotometer, melt flow indicator, etc.)
  • Customer service oriented
