Your Unique Role

In this remote based engineering role reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for optimizing the production processes, improving efficiencies, and ensuring the highest level of quality while minimizing waste and costs. Working to improve process flow, quality, value stream of manufacturing processes and other efficiencies,

  • Conduct detailed analysis of the injection molding plastics manufacturing processes, including material flow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency.
  • Identify areas of improvement and propose innovative solutions to optimize production, reduce cycle times, and increase throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production managers, operators, maintenance personnel, and quality assurance, to implement process improvements and ensure their successful integration.
  • Design and implement efficient layout plans for the i facility, considering factors such as material flow, equipment placement, and ergonomic considerations.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement and develop and implement SOP’s and work instructions to ensure consistent and efficient production processes.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent work experience (previous experience working in an injection molding manufacturing environment.)
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in industrial engineering tools and techniques, such as time and motion studies, process mapping, and work sampling.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Able to support 50% travel.
