Your Unique Role

Reporting directly to the Business Unit manager, you will be over a team of 15 and be the one to provide leadership and supervision of molding operations and personnel: Leading the development and implementation of new molding and materials technology to improve the productivity, quality, and profitability of molding operations- evaluating alternative materials to optimize overall product cost in addition to spearheading process improvements and cost reduction programs. Oversee all aspects of molding and materials technology, and driving projects from concept development to validation of implemented processes.

  • Lead the Molding & Materials personnel to continually improve molding processes to achieve optimum product quality at the minimum product cost.
  • Scan the external environment and benchmarks other manufacturing sites to stay abreast of technological advances in the fields of molding and materials. Establishes projects and initiatives to implement best practices acquired through this process.
  • Establish annual capital improvement budgets for Molding. Assures these planned expenditures align with and support the long-term strategic direction of Molding
  • Establish long-term direction and planning for Molding operations. Leads with vision and drives a culture of continual improvement within the site and broader business.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Previous Engineering Leadership experience in injection molding Manufacturing Environment (Med device strongly preferred but open to other regulated industries.
  • Experience and ability to operate sophisticated molding equipment and sound knowledge of molding processing and variables.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading multiple complicated projects in both the short and long-term.
