Your Unique Role

This critical role within the organization will be to help develop and deliver new products and drive Operational Excellence throughout our facilities.


Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will organize, plan and deliver high quality, fully integrated end-to-end solutions that meet customer expectations and deliver projects on time, on budget, and technically correct. You wil help lead and champion the company’s injection molding processes, sys philtems and production capabilities by being the VOC, and resident expert in this technology. You will be very influential in the future direction of the company, from product development initiatives to equipment selection.


This will be a highly visible role within a rapidly growing manufacturer!

 

Additionally, you will: 

  • Provide Technical Support to Product Development, Program/Project Managers, Operations as well as Commercial Organization and serve as Technology Custodian, Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned technology.
  • Act as a key resource to answer or find answers to Engineering, Operations or Commercial questions related to assigned technology.
  • Oversee and direct project teams, manage conflicts within the different groups.
  • Plan and schedule project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop RFP for external services and develop AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) for internal project approvals.
  • Undertake project strategy creation for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Provide timely program communication to maintain stakeholder awareness and ability to make decisions, managing priorities and eliminating business waste.
  • Develop scope and cost model for customer requests for proposals. Provide technical support to improve operational quality & effectiveness.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Bachelors in Engineering strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of engineering or technical manufacturing experience in plastics industry- medical packaging preferred.
  • Experience with CAD Design Software- Solidworks and AutoCad preferred.
  • A solid understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) techniques.
  • A strong knowledge of plastic processing equipment and plastic materials, including injection molding, injection blow molding, and extrusion molding.
  • Mold and tooling design understanding related to plastic processing.
