They deliver a total solution with extensive molding capabilities including standard injection, structural foam, gas assist, insert and over molding and provide their customers with a broad selection of post molding options including painting, decorating, laser etching, EMI shielding, ultrasonic welding, spin welding, flame treating, product assembly and more.

Your Unique Role

Direct the Quality Department with an industry leading Injection Molder.

 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will responsible for all aspects of the quality department. Establish and maintain quality documents to define processes and objective while solving problems throughout the company. You will be managing a group of 8 and work to identify, analyze, estimate, and reduce defects, and downtime.

  • Develop and manage a quality system that supports the maintenance of the quality registrations (IATF 16949:2016), is compliant with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and supports the achievement of agreed upon customer quality requirements.
  • Manage the quality assurance and documentation control functions to support the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate voluntary standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements and adjust quality system and its policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Manage the first article inspection, quality inspection, quality engineering and document control functions including defining activities, staffing levels, continuous feedback and timely job performance reviews, and goal setting.
  • Develop and provide input to management for the QA and Document Control departmental expense and capital budgets and manage them once they are approved and support continuous improvement process by providing training in problem solving and improvement methodology (6S, Root cause Analysis, Process FMEA).
  • Act as key contact with customers' auditors and being responsible for ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent work experience (Previous Quality Engineering/Leadership experience in Automotive or Injection Molding manufacturing).
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing quality procedures, principles and methods including IATF 16949:2016 compliance.
  • Proven track record effectively developing staff, implementing quality programs, and interfacing with customers on quality related topics.
