Reporting directly to the Molding Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing process technologies for molded products. You will apply your Injection Molding experience to implement quality improvements, capacity expansion, sustaining and cost reduction projects and working closely with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing locations to implement these manufacturing technologies.

  • Define requirements for Injection Molding Process and develop molding specific documents and procedures.
  • Provide technology input to guide product development for DFM and develop and execute molding process development activities including DOE and validations including writing protocols and reports (IQ,OQ,PQ).
  • Provide technology advice and directives to vendors and plant technicians to accomplish project objectives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, Quality R&D, Clinical and Regulatory team members to ensure successful implementation of molding validations.
  • Provide technical support to Process and Project engineers investigating Corrective and Preventive Actions, Customer Complaints, and quality Notifications.
  • Able to support travel up to 40% to other sites.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Engineering or a related technical field, or relevant experience.
  • Previous engineering experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment. (Medical or regulated industry) or High-volume manufacturing.
  • Background in processing and experience with AutoCAd or 3D design software.
