Reporting to the Senior Business Unit Director, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities from prospective customers and developing a thorough understanding of our proposition, capabilities, and long-term strategy to achieve business growth goals. The role will also: 

  • Conduct market research to generate leads and identify potential business opportunities and interface with customers to understand their needs, requirements, and expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while developing specific sales action plans for target customers with goals and target dates for goal completion.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring our customer’s needs are heard and being met. Confirm they are getting appropriate value, are fully satisfied with the completed work.
  • Identify competitors and analyze their strengths and weaknesses related to the opportunity and develop total cost models for molds/projects that communicate the value of the solution being presented.
  • Develop an understanding of the customer’s decision-making process and identify decisionmakers at the customer.
  • Assess our position during the critical stages of the award process and review with management to ensure the current course of action is appropriate.
  • Provide ongoing customer service acting as primary support for new customers through the sales process, evolving into a secondary support role for the identified program manager.

Seeking a Candidate With:

  • Previous experience and expertise in selling to the Injection Molding/Mold Manufacturing space.
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molds, molding, and molding processes
  • A strong mechanically oriented mindset to interpret customer issues and help in driving a solution.
  • Results oriented with a hunter mentality, with a passion for developing new business.
